Many people assume that the Standard American Diet is healthful. That assumption is inherently accepted by the majority of citizens because of our heavy reliance on the expertise of government authorities such as the USDA.
Symptoms are the body’s natural response to help remove the causes of disease, and lessen their damage. Symptoms are often mistaken for the illness itself.
It is almost impossible to correct our emotional eating habits if we do not address Toxic Hunger and food addictions. We need to become aware of the kinds of addictive foods that play havoc with the human digestive system. Having this knowledge will go a long way to reduce emotional eating to a minimum.

Sandy wanted his health and energy back to do the physical activities he once enjoyed. He also had five children at that time and another one on the way. Having a sixth child became the turning point in his life. Sandy decided to make whatever change was necessary to improve his health. He began looking for answers and considered going on a diet.
Sandy was overweight with high blood pressure, chronic headaches, and digestive problems over thirty years ago. Being a father of five with one on the way, he longed for the energy he once had to play with his children. He decided he was going to turn his life around to improve his health.
As he searched for answers, Sandy found out that 98% of diets fail after two years and end up doing more harm than good. He then found that a nutritional approach was the best way he could restore his health and weight. “Health Call” is a series with Sandy and Becky Rome as they share their journey of eating right and feeling the best they have ever felt.
