Ed Weaver

Ed joined The Home Page Network late in 2014 as the network’s Sports Director and later made his on-camera debut on Home Page Sports in January 2015. In addition to his on-camera role at the Home Page Network, Ed also serves as the Technical Director and manages Home Page’s website and mobile application. Outside of Home Page Ed is also the Sport Information Director at Wellsboro and manages WellsboroAthletics.com and volunteers with both the football and boys basketball teams.

Ed was an active athlete in high school as both a member of the Wellsboro football and track teams. Ed played four years of football before graduating in 2004, and was selected as an honorable mention offensive tackle to the NTL All-Star Team in his senior season of 2003. In 2001 Ed was one of three sophomore Varsity starters, playing linebacker. In his high school career Ed accumulated three Varsity letters in football and two in track.

After graduating early from high school, Ed attended Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA and graduated with honors in December 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Web and Applications Development. While in college, Ed began his football coaching career during the 2006 season and remained with the team until after the 2008 season, where he helped coach 1,000-yard running back Pat Driebelbies and season-leading tackler Aaron Moss. After the 2008 season Ed moved to Bellefonte, PA where he worked for ZedX, Inc. and then later Blackboard/Schoolwires in State College, PA. Ed returned back home to Wellsboro in August of 2014. While away from Wellsboro Ed still wrote for WellsboroAthletics.com and volunteered with the Hornet football team on Friday nights keeping statistics.

In 2013 Ed took over as the football team’s primary statistician and would later become the boys’ basketball team’s primary statistician. It was during this time that Ed started planning the groundwork for his company, Circle W Sports, an online platform allowing high school athletic departments and sports teams to promote their programs and student-athletes. In April 2016, Ed quit his job at Blackboard/Schoolwires to focus primarily on Circle W Sports. The group has expanded from two websites to over 20 and powers websites like PIAA District IV, the Northern Tier League, Vaportrail 24/7, Eastern PA Football, Western PA Football, PA Football News, and provides data used in Home Page’s sports broadcasts and website.
